Has anyone had the plastic piece that is attached to the rod on the top part of the clutch pedal break??? Is this a common problem? Or is there something really screwed up... This happend to me on the way home today. So of course I had to have the car towed to the shop and am just trying to figure out what to expect...Any info would be greatly appreciated

Why did you tow it? If I think I know what you are talking about that is the clutch switch. Not sure what purpose it is used for other than my 2step in the WOT box wouldn't work without it. I had the wires tied together previously so the 2 step in the Diablo would work

No up from that its a little plastic piece attached to a rod I think its the clutch quadrent. Because the clutch pedal went to the floor. I was going from first to second, I wasnt getting on it or nothing. I just pressed in the clutch to shift from first to second and it broke then as I was pulling the shifter into second. But needless to say it didnt make it, I made neutral. Then I coasted and pulled over and shut off the car. I dont know what caused it but I do know it sucks

Dealership called the master cylinder was fucked... They are replacing it now and hopefully I will have it back by the end of the day as long as they dont find any other problems..

My buddy had that happen to his car - he was able to drive it home very carefully. Had to replace the clutch master cylinder because that stupid plastic piece is molded onto the end of the rod. He did tell me that he heard someone was making metal replacements that would screw together, but I've not seen anything like that yet. He made it 100K miles before his broke.

Yeah i am hoping that someone makes a metal one soon. I was talking to the guys at JPC racing and they said that on the 05 and 06's its pretty much a design flaw. So what they have been doing is using ones from 07 up. I do know that as soon as someone makes a metal one I am buying it....

I had a metal one made for my car before. The extra pedal pressure from a Spec Stage 3 clutch and a Mcleod TOB did it to mine.

who made your metal one? How much did it run you? I have the Mcleod TOB and Centerforce DFX clutch

I will try to get in touch with him and find out for you. Might take me a couple of day to reach him though.
