I was looking into cams awhile back for my 05 auto mustang. It's not a daily driver and has a few bolt ons but I plan on doing gears, stall, and headers at the same time. I'm finally to the point of getting things for the car but I noticed how much cam prices went up and started looking at different options. I was looking at getting comp 127500 since I wanted the most I could get out of the car with stock heads and staying NA. I think at this point just want the car to sound good but still make good power. It has 130kmiles so I was planning on doing springs as well. I have searched around and found a few post about cms cams. What input do yall have on these cams?
Stg1 .472"/.470" lift, 225/237 .050" duration, 112LSA

Stg2 .490"/.510" lift, 228/238 .050" duration, 112LSA
Not really sure more lift over .500" is going to make a difference on a stock non ported head that flows the same at .500" as .600".

The difference between those cams is fairly small.
The stage 2's extra lift will still help with stock heads but whether it is worth the extra $ for springs is up to you. With 130k miles, it is probably worth putting in new valvesprings and the labour is the same between refeshing your stock springs and throwing in an aftermarket set.
I'd spend the extra on a set of PAC springs to go with the cams and do the stage 2's
