coil over question

I have a set of the stock coils with the brown boots from an 09 Mustang gt can they be interchanged with the coils with the black boots from the early 09s and older? Friend is having a starting problem and we wanted to switch them to see if it made a difference. I am pretty sure there is a different plug in the hole which is why the boot change. Thanks.

everything is the same from 05-09 i dont see why not

the black boots look a bit shorter and the plugs are different types. Everything is not the same that is why I asked the question .

Your talking about the coil packs right?

yes correct, but the boots are slightly different and the plugs are not the same two piece as opposed to one piece.I don't think it should make a difference but i am not sure.
