Guys, I am having problems with cold starts and every day or two my car throws a P0340 and a P0345. Both of them are cam position sensor "circuit" failures. One code is for the first bank and the other is for the second bank. CPS error cause start-up problems, so I think there may be something legit here.
I am pretty sure the sensors themselves are fine because it is both banks, it says "circuit" (not sensor), and I just had the harness off the engine a week ago. I am more prone to believe I did not plug something in fully or in the correct spot. I did recheck / reseat the sensor connectors, but none of the PCM sockets or the fuse box.
Does anyone no if there is a left and right polarity for the sensors, meaning one was made specificly for the left bank and one for the right bank? Also, I had the balist resistors off of the timing cover. Any chance they have a specific polarity?
Any other suggestions?
Once it starts, it runs great BTW!!!
Thanks,
Spaz
