Will since the motor went kaboom a Saturday ago, I am in the rebuild process, thinking about the Comp Cams Stage 2 Blower Cams, but looking for some feed back. Have not made up my mind yet on even whether or not to do cams. So any input would be great, one of the things I am a little concerned about is day in day out drivability.

At least I set a new PB before it went.

2 Runs later it went bye bye.

I've run comp 127300 cams with a whipple before. It's not exactly advertised as a blower cam but it works real well as one. Driveability is great, requires springs.

Whatever you do go ahead and change the valvesprings while the heads are off so you have easy options in the future.

Come now Ted, I can't tell you what I am going to do. As for taking it apart I am still waiting to hear from the dealership, the car still under warranty. They would like me to take the aftermarket stuff off the motor and bring it in to see if they can warranty the motor (which of course I would just sell that motor), but I am waiting to hear whether or not I have to put the stock stuff back on, should know more today, but to answer your question, yes some help would be nice for sure.

I have the eforce, stroker, with stage two cams. Idle sounds great with good power but I am having idle issues. I have since day one. Driveablity sucks balls in stop go traffic. Oh and if you have to do idle speed driving say in a parking lot get ready to ride the bucking horse. I will be changing my cams as soon as I get my bills paid off.

Can't you just give it a bit more gas in stop and go traffic ? I was reading alot on cams since it's my next mod, and it seems everyone that has them just does that and has no issues. If you just releasing the clutch with very little gas, I would see where it sucks monkey ass.. What other issues would you have besides that with the cams in day to day traffic ?

That sucks, I am assuming the tuner has tried to fix the issue, correct?

Yes I have tried different tuners. Lito has it as good as its going to get without swapping cams.

I've had the comp came in my car for 2yrs with no drivability issues. Wow you've really improved ur times, practice makes perfect, huh? I guess you got the shifting problems solved. What have you done to your car to get it to 492 rwhp? I haven't been on here much in awhile.

Please more info. My setup is in sig. I noticed that with the valve covers vented to atmosphere my car has got worse.

I think sactown is talking about the 127200 stage 2 comp blower cams, they are nsr and have little to no lope. That is what I have in my car, with no drivability issues, Brenspeed tune.

My suggestion is to stay away of close lobe separation cams on PD blowers, is very different than having a centri.

I just installed JDM's custom grind. Idles/behaves about like the stockers (127300's).
