The only reason I'm doing it, I bought a Used Paxton kit for a 07+ and paxton wants 700+ bux for the parts to run it on a 05... going to 07 is cheapest route...

Like others have stated, how much does it clean up the engine bay??

The 05-06 have two hoses that come off the crossover. The passenger side hose goes to the radiator and the driver side hose goes to the thermostat thats close to the lower radiator hose. For 07+ the passenger side crossover hose is gone and the driver side hose goes to the upper radiator location. Since the thermostat is now located in the crossover that mess by the lower radiator hose is gone. Here's mine which is an 07.

What about converting the other way 07-08 to 05-06 style? Would it be possible to just trade parts with someone? Cause I need the old style to run a saleen.

Yeah you can switch the other way too. I'm sure there would be a number of people willing to swap with you.

Good post, I am currently considering buying a '07 FRPP whipple from a local Ford dealer (excellent price). He told me I would need to convert the cooling system to the '07 layout, but I didn't know what all was invovled.

Ok, well I have offically bought the 07 FRPP whipple kit (polished!).

Of the 4 parts mentioned (crossover, upper & lower hoses, alt bracket) which will I need in light of having the kit which supplies a new crossover and relocates the alternator? I haven't had the chance to sift through the kit and inspect under my hood.
