Do you have a tripod? If so, set your camera to its night setting and let it take the shot that way. It will let in a LOT more light and you will be able to see the car much better. You will need a tripod or the ability to set the camera on something as it may take 5-6 seconds for the shutter to close and any movement in that time will give you blurry pics...

I have a Nikon d3100 with a 55-200mm lens, 18-55mm lens and a bunch of filters and a Nikon wide lens. I havent really shot many pictures of my car of late because I have mainly being shooting people kids on the side for some extra cash. I get a great deal on poster sized prints and anything smaller then that as well.
