Got the new block in and done and started it up 3 days ago. From the second i got her firing ive been chasing down this damn problem. I have phaser limiters in for the cams im running. I went with the spring loaded limiters to reduce phaser noise. Well low and behold my timing keeps going outta whack on the passenger side. After tinkering with everything for a whole day i figured it was the phaser itself. Ordered 1 through the local Ford dealer(Tomball Ford) and just my luck the service department had it on site already. Well long story short after 3 days my new block is up and running AWESOME. For just a full bolt on car(no Nitrous yet) it runs like a BEAST.

I have mutha thumpers with phase limiters and no one can get the tune right. It seems like it misses or something at full throttle

At 1 point mine were locked. I know this will sound dumb but my gas mileage was complete shit. I know I shouldn't expect good gas mileage outta a high hp application but damn I was averaging like 6mpg city 11 hw. Switched to limiters and it went to 14-18. Plus when they were locked out I lost a good amount of low end power. Overall I'm happier with limiters and good tune for them

07stangcs how do you like the stage 3s. I kinda wish i went with the stage 3 sprs instead of stage 2 sprs. But dont get me wrong, i am happy with my stage 2 spr 127500.

Really? We have a few customers that are running 600+ HP and using lockouts getting over 25 mpg's

Yea that's FI john. FI increases your mpg, especially a turbo. Also redfire, I loved my SPR 3's on the old motor. I just swapped them out on the new heads. So far they seem great but I haven't really got on the gas yet. Gonna change the oil and filter today and give er alittle hell

Your car sounds awesome 07stangcs, I'd love to meet up some time and have a ride in that thing. I like the idea of the Stage 3 SPR's too, but I'm worried about them losing more low end torque than what the Stage 2 SPR's would.

Where did you get it tuned?

Right now it's just running a tune for Doug. After everything is done I'll be using Psi motorsports in Katy to dial it in

They're in Katy? That's weird, on their website it says Webster, Texas, which is SE of Katy.

P.M. WES @ TPS, he tuned mine. Never had a preoblem, except that they like to drink gas if you drive it hard lol.

What rotating assembly did you go with ? I will be doing this same thing next year , shooting for a little higher comp though .
