Dexron 3 or Mercon 5 ? TR3650

Good to know, that the DOT 4 7 DOT 4+ and the DOT 5.1 will work well in these cars.

DOT4+ is like 4 with lower viscosity, I do gravity bleeding with it. Needs more time but works. I haven't found DOT3 in stores here. DOT3 needs to be changed more often anyway.

When I see this I would prefer a real gear oil, Hmmm....

I switched to RP synthetic when I first had my car, and shifting definitely improved. When I got over 100k miles, I switched to Mobil 1 synthetic, and I've been pleased.

... looks like Royal Purple and /or Mobil 1 ATF can be used without headache.

This was a hot topic here about 11-12 years ago due to the 3650's tendency to miss shifts at high rpm (drag racing). Everything posted here is pretty much the same answers as back then. You can use damn near anything in the Tremec.
