My personal Expierance with BBR

Ordered hood. After a month of no hood or shipping info and several calls saying it was shipping or shipped etc. They tell me they forgot to order it some how. Then they get it ordered. Then another month later still no hood. Then they tell me well shipping has changed now so it will be almost another 150. But if they would have ordered it and sent when I first ordered it shipping wouldn't have changed. SO that is my fault? Then they lied about talking to my wife. Saying she said stuff she didn't cause they never talked to her. Liz got rude on phone but didn't like when I got rude back.

Tune on my bolt on car had idling issues. Wanted to die just running. Kdanner fixed that issue for me.

Next put blower on my car. They talked to my local tuner that didn't have experiance with the new 5.0's. So he asked some places some questions. To make sure he was tracking soem changes with these cars specially with a blower. They told him we will work with you. Recommended 80lb injectors. Then they said my maf was maxed out and I needed a new Pro-M MAF that cost almost 500. So i bought it even though my local tuner didn't think I needed it. But BBR said they woudl share tunes and struff to help and then they didn;t. So he couldn't see what they was doing so was unsure if I needed it. That he wasn't sure if they was making chnages to MAF that needed to be done. HMM anyway car still ran like crap. Idling issues, driving issues surging all over running lean above 5500rpms. After 6-8 different tunes still no fix. Then they say the PRO'M maf is bad. Yet they wouldn't replace it or refund my money. Go figure. Fix for it. CAlled John Lund. He worked with my local tuner. We took the 80lb injectors out after several other shops said they suck in teh 2011+ and BBR was retarded for saying to use them. Stock maf in the car worked just fine as well. And still is. My tuner local tuned it. Sent his tune to John lund who fixed the surging issue my tuner had. Explianed why it had it and told him what to do to not have the surge issue. Local tuner tuned my 2012 with no issues with the help Lund provided.

I think that sums up my experiance with them. You guys taht had good ones glad for you. I will never deal with them agian. Nor recommend them either.

I would also like to throw in my issue with the bbr cowl hood.

I ordered a bbr cowl hood for my 2011 over a year ago. Put in my credit card info on the website and paid about 110 bucks in shipping... figured i was done and on my way. 2 days later i get a call from Liz telling me i owe another 73.50 for shipping as the shipping for the hood on the website is a "guideline estimate" (her words not mine). I told her just to refund my money and she gave me shit for a good 5 minutes before i blew up on her...

Glad to see im not the only one that got the "we need more money for shipping" run around.

If you are talking about Steve his best bet is to be silent as whatever he says ends up wrong.

Yea somehow I got charged 14$ to get plugs shipped and they even were direct shipped from manufacturer. I was in a bind and no one else had em at the time.

The silence is deafening............

No silence, they're here.

John's been welcoming in new members.

I think they just won't post here in this thread. At this point, nothing to gain from it from their perspective.

Almost like the window of opportunity is closed for this to be rectified correctly and they cannot save face.

If they come in here, they'll be slammed and can't redeem themselves regardless.

Most likely, the thread will die out once everyone see's that we've got the one and only reply here from anyone at BBR.

A lot of guys are saying to blame Chris, or to not blame Steve and John.

To be honest, does it matter? The blame game is for the owner of the business to play.

To us as a consumer, it really shouldn't matter. Chris, John, Steve, and even Liz are the face of BBR. Anything that any of these guys do can and will influence the way the consumer views "BBR".

Chris will ultimately be the one who risks most here as its his baby, but his employees have their hands in how those risks play out.

One bad call on any of their parts will produce a negative view on the company as a whole.

In this case, they are seemingly satisfied with the resolution here and have moved on.

Agreed, in the corporate world, this tactic is commonly used and just shows the company to shift efforts in other locations then circle back when they are no longer the hot topic.

Exactly.

Waiting patiently for Lethal to get a bad review and step right back into the spot light.

Well said.

This is a terrible situation for them. I think the thing that really got to me bad, was the fact that this could have been so easily resolved with little effort, yet they chose not to.

Unless you argue that time is money, they're not out anything but time. They failed to provide a service, not a product. They wouldn't even have to go through the hassle of restocking a product.

Steve, I know you'll be reading this. You can't be happy with how this played out. This is bullshit.
