I have a set of Nitto NT05R 18's in 295's which have excellent street manners for cornering, traction and all around. I'm sure they suck in the rain though. I can do low 11's all day with these 18's too. I'm sure they are only good for 5-10k miles too.

I make spacers for my car. 1/8" is the maximum you can use and keep the axle hitting the wheel for centering if you have the typical chamfer on the wheel. When you want to go thicker you have to go to 1/2" or more so the centering ring can be made as part of the spacer. I suppose you could go in between if you were willing to grind off part of the centering ring on the axle sticking past the brake rotor.

I'm going to try some 1/8" spacers and see if that clears things up...if not...probably the BFH and massage things a bit.

Just ordered these...UPR 1/8" billet...$29 shipped for a pair:

looks great.
Quick question, could you have gone the other way with the wheels... I.E. instead of widening the inner portion of the wheel, could you have added a 1" lip to the outside of the wheel?

While lowered, my car fits teh 18x11 forgestar wheels with 335/30/18 bf goodrich just fine. No cutting to the bump in the wheel well and no shock contact. I have been looking to just cut the bump off and cut the shock cover for extra clearance but it shouldn't be an issue.

NO...on my wheels the spokes are right at the rim lip.

It would depend on the wheel style whether you could have them widened or not, and whether or not Weldcraft would do it.

Nice write up and install!!!! Forgot to mention! lol

Can you show more pictures with camera further back? What about fronts whats the plan?

Also how much did it cost to widen the wheels?

From further back, as requested. I had to "wash them out" a bit with photoshop so you can actually see the tires, as it is dark under the car. If I want to do it right I need to illuminate under the car with flash or do HDR, but I am feeling lazy. This gives you the idea of the overall stance and look:

Car looks fantastic. Any shots for the side? Could just be depth perception but the front tires look taller than the rears?

Straight on side shots please?!?

Is it just me or do the rears look low on air? Saved the pix, zoomed in and still can't tell. Or, is it the way the tire (low profile) is riding on the rim?
