What year are you talking about?

But to answer your question, yes they all interchange. The pistons not so much.

Yea like they're saying take the rods and crank minus the pistons because of clearance issues I believe is the reason the pistons won't work

You can have valve reliefs cut out of the pistons if you want to use them. Other wise, you will run into ptv clearance.

^^^ Wouldnt know I've never done that or even really looked into it, I would just use the crank and rods then save up to buy pistons for 3v and hopefully it wouldnt be too expensive after all the balancing and shit. Assuming he gets the motor dirt cheap I would definitely assume not

I would definitely get it done because you'll have to get some shit done to the pistons or buy new ones so it's gonna be different is what I'm thinking but I'm hoping someone with first hand experience will chime in on this

So how much would that cost to get it balanced. I can install the crank n rods myself.

balance and blueprint isn't too much. Local shop quoted me ~350ish when I was just talking shop with my old tuner about a deal on a stroker kit he had.
Definitely worth it if you're going with stronger internals.

Depending on the cams, you may still be able to use those pistons. I used the Manley FT 2valve pistons with Comp 127-350 cams. I think Manley made the pistons and rods for the Cobras. Also, isn't the bolt pattern different between the 4 and 3 valve motor? I think the cobra crank is a 8 bolt and the 3 valve crank is a 6 bolt. I might be mistaken about the cranks, but if you aren't going to go over .500 lift you can use those pistons.

The motor mounts are different. You will need to make an adapter plate.

The pistons will be fine. I am running 4v pistons in mine. I am still running stock cams tho but there is no problem with valve clearance.

As far a motor mounts go MMR makes an adapter plate.
