So it sounds like now that I am FI and a vert, I won't be allowed to run the 1/4 mile due to being too fast with a vert/no rollbar. I am guessing I will be ok until that first run is over, depending on how strict the facility is.

my main question is, would I have the same problem at an 1/8 mile track, since top speed would be slower? And could I just run hard at a 1/4 mile track for the first 1/8 to get a time, and let off?

In case you can't tell, I have never been to the track, but really want to give it a try a couple times this spring/summer.

You probably would have been too fast without the SC. I believe if you run 13.49 or faster you need a rollbar in a vert. You could run it through 1/8 mile at a 1/4 mile strip but you might still get kicked if they also look at 1/8 mile times. 1/8 mile strips I belive are 8.0 or faster for verts but I might be wrong about that.

I have the same issue, go to the 1/4 and let out at the 1/8th mile and coast thru the traps. Once your feeling good let one rip and maybe you get tossed..... maybe not

and yes 13.49 is the NHRA Rule on verts

Well, the good news is that I am far from an excellent driver, especially getting used to launching with this new S/C.... and 4.10's :) So not sure what to expect for times on Nitto 555 (rear 275)
