Happy New Year to everyone! I just got back from a 4 week vacation out of the country and now i am set on bringing my new setup to the track!! I just need you help trying to decide on which tires to purchase for my 15x10 Racestars. I have another set of wheels for the street, but i want something with alot of GRIP for the racestars for when i play hard. I have the front runners, but can only afford tires for rear right now.

Right now, i have 4.10's and a saleen blower pushing 480 rwhp through a manual. I have plans to forge the internals by the summer, but as we know that may change. I researched that with 4.10's i will need a 28" tall tire to finish at the top of 4th. I might end up switching to 3.73 later, but i want to give my 4.10's a chance first and see how i grip.

I have been looking at the MT ET Streets , any feedback on those?
Also, what exact size would be good for my application? Where is the best price to order the tires from?

Thanks for your comments:thumb2:

4.10's and a twin screw go with the 295/55R15 or 325/50R15 M/T ET Street Radials either will make u happy on traction.. and with the twin screw even if u changed to 3.73 it would still do well.. 295's are a bolt on fit and very clean look!

Hey Bolivianpimp,
Not to jack this post but i was looking at your pic's Car look Great. Is the hood a Cervinis Ram Air? I got one sitting in my garage waiting for good weather to fit it then get it painted. Now I can see what a Black car looks like with that style hood.

No they dont hit the fender or anything. the 325 you may have to trim off the bracket for clearance.

McCormick racing was the cheapest I could find, but I ended up ordering thru Summit as they price matched. McCormick doesnt have that size listed on their site but they do on their ebay listing. Vic and I both ordered from Summit.

Thanks for the link and pricing info! I will most likely do the same ordering scheme that you did. How long did it take to arrive?

Very close. 27.8"

Thanks i sure hope that .2" doesnt make a difference haha.

Thanks for the compliments! The Hood is a carbon fiber replica from the GT500 KR made to fit onto GT front end. I purchased it from a company that i cant remember the name but will look for it, he gave me EXCELLENT customer service and i would buy from him again in a heartbeat.

I agree with Ray...

I have lowering springs, so i think the 295 is the widest i will be able to fit without hitting the fender on launch. Thanks for the advise.

I am running the 295's on a 15x8 wheel no problem, 4.10s as well. Will have some ETs after this weekend :D

Nice, that is the tire I am going to put on my Race Star 8" wheels. Do you have any pic's of them mounted up?

Is there anything other than the rear sway relocation that i would need? Do the stock studs work fine for the 15x10s?

DAMN thats a sexy pic big pappy!!! Ill be awaiting those ET times!! I was about to pull the trigger on the ET streets , but my friend keeps telling me the racemasters are better and is sticking hard to it.. Then also tells me that i should go for cheater slicks or slicks!! However, i do want to occasionally drive on the street with these wheels, recommendations?

Glad to hear about stock studs. Do the wheels require hubcentric rings?

Do the racestars have a mag style lug nut like a prostar or an acorn style? The only reason I ask is because I have 15x10 prostars on mine and I am very afraid to take my wheels off. I tried driving to the track with my 18's last year (2009) and change wheels there, big mistake, I ended up stripping 3 wheel studs cause I didn't know you aren't supposed to use an impact.

sent from my Droid Incredible.

why mag style? what is the deal with them? are they stronger? obviously less chance of a wheel falling off, but they fucking suck to take on and off.

That's a question for Racestar to answer.
