I did a practice day a few weeks ago to break in the new engine. I quickly found the K springs and D Specs were out of their league. So, tonight I installed the KW Competition coilovers on the car and took it for a test drive on the highway. I have a build thread going but I thought some of you may not have seen it.

Man that thing does not like to be driven slow.

I can't believe you didn't pick up the hitchhikers. And whats up with all of the broken down cars on the side of the road.

Lucky the track is so close for you. I have to drive for 90 minutes to get to my closest track. Looks nice to, love all the pine trees.

I'm lucky to have a track 10 minutes from my office and another track 10 minutes from my house.

I don't use the clutch to up or down shift. With the titanium Long shifter that is in the car, it would be impossible to ever miss a gear. It has a tall 2.44 first gear and 3.73 rear gears. Combine that with an idle speed of about 2200rpms, and that fact that it still idles rough at 3200rpms, the car can't be driven at low speeds. I find myself getting the car going, putting it in neutral and coast for a while, and then put it back in gear get it up to traffic speed and repeat as necessary. The slowest the car can be driven while keeping it in gear is about 25 mph.

Kids are Great!! After the races and at car shows, I always let kids sit in the car so parents can take pictures.
That's a real cool thing to do man.
I have Baer 14" 6 piston brakes and currently, I have 295/680/18 Hoosier slicks and 18x10 wheels with 40mm offset. I drive it on the street with the slicks.

Why drive on slicks....Because STREETCAR.
