I made a 5 hour ride to Milan this morning so I could get some runs on the car. This is at 13 psi boost into a pretty good head wind. Stock compression, forged bottom end and stock crank. it was on Mickey Thompson 275/40r/17's on the rear and 18" bulletts on the front.

Way to go Ron!!!! Nice ET and strong MPH. I think you can crack 10's with this setup.

Ron,

It was nice meeting you today! I was hoping to see you get in the 10's. Your car leaves hard! Good luck on your quest to 10's, it's definitely got it in it!

I need to get a set of wheels/tires for our Whipple car. My best today was 11.0 @ 126 mph, but I was on 20's so I had to pedal it quite a bit. I think with a set of cams, a converter, and a tire it should get well into the 10's.

Ron congrats! I know you can get 10s out of it on 13 lbs. Hopefully this will help silence some haters and crybabies. If you don't have front runners by the Brawl we can bolt mine and spacers on and get 10s for sure.

Agreed 100%. I offered mine up as well. I got the 5/16th spacers now that work with the front V6 brakes without grinding, I will have them with me so he can get his 10's. He's running huge 18" bullits up front, I wouldn't be surprised if they weigh 60lbs each with rubber.

Those are awesome times, too bad you didn't have a tail wind then the naysayers could attribute those results to mother nature!

Rick

It was nice to meet you too. I wish we had more time to talk. You car is very impressive for having those big boat anchors for wheels on it.

Info on car? suspension? tires? wheels? weight?

All my suspension is CHE stuff, lca's, uca, panhard bar, rear axle brace, k member brace and torque limiters, aluminum drive shaft, front sway delete/radiator support brace, anti squat brackets. I also have a heavy duty rear sway bar 1" diamemter and tokico D-specs. I have the stock V6 springs, my car started out a 4.0 V6 Mustang, an aluminum drive shaft, and 3.73 gears.

I am running 275/40r/17 Mickey Thompson DR's on the rear with stock bullitts and 18" Shebly GT bullitts on the front, they weigh 65 lbs a piece.

The only thing I ever remove from the car is the spare tire but I did not weigh the car but it is at full street weight. I have not done any lightening of the car yet, I have actually added weight with the Shelby CS6 front bumper, which weighs about 25 lbs more than the stock bumper and the CA dream hood which is about 25 lbs more than the stock hood also.

Forged motor with stock compression, stock crank and heads. I have a mild cam installed, Brenspeed's twin screw grind. I also have a 4r70w trans with a Bauman controller, PI triple disc 3k stall converter.

That is about it.
