I am running an E-Force blower with the entry level pulley (3.875" 5-6 lbs. boost). My question is if I step up to an 3.5" pulley (7-10# boost) do I need an GT500 fuel pump system or would my KB Boost-a-pump be enough?

I was running 8-10 with a vortech system 462 RWHP for a year with the boost a pump no issues.
I am assuming you will get the car re-tuned with the change, tuner will tell you everything you need to know.
Throw the pump in there you are going to need it sooner or later, rather be too rich then too lean any day.

Not sure if it was 100% needed, but I added GT500 pumps when I dropped down to the 3.5 inch pulley. And As Bullitt Boy pointed out, it is a good insurance policy.

I'm running the Roush TVS with a 3.47" pulley making around 10 lbs of boost, 465 RWHP and 475 RWTQ on an auto. I have a BAP and at that power level it is absolutely fine. If you plan on making more than 500 RWHP then go for the GT500 pumps. Otherwise, BAP will be more than ok.

i'm buying my kit from jdm and they said i don't need the boost a pump or gt500 pumps for the 3.5 pulley. i tried like hell to get him to say i did because i wanted the gt500 pumps but i'll wait... lol.

but, the ower of a shop out here said i should get the boost a pump to be safe.

what i gathered from talking to them is neither is needed but for peice of mind a boost a pump would be enough.

Your boost a pump will be ok at 3.5inch. I ran a boost a pump and a 3.5 with my stock engine. Make sure you get a good dyno tune and not a email tune. Its money well spent. Trust me. I learned the hard way.

If you plan on going higher in boost later on then buy the pumps and be done with it one time, skip the BAP. You'll save yourself money in the long run.

I would not take the chance, in fact if I had it to do over again I would have told JDM to keep the GT-500 pumps and I would have called Fore. It's not worth taking the risk.

Andy,

can you give me a better look at what you did with the foglights in your bottom grille? I think I like that a lot.

Cagefight,

Have you had her on the dyno?
this is the setup I'm wanting and I'm curious about numbers.

398 rwhp/ 395 rwtq but the converter was slipping in the end of the pull and also it was staving for more fuel. He de-tuned down a tiny bit until my BAP arrives this week but I am not driving the car right now anyways so it really didn't matter.
