Ugh...shit i thought so including the bracket right? What a shitty design.
It takes 15 min to pull the head unit and bracket. Just release the tension on the belt, remove the idler pulley, then the belt. After that take the 4 bolts out that hold the head unit and bracket. Easy pezy.

On a scale of 1-10 if done solo, 10 being most difficult, it's a 2 1/2 by yourself. 1 if you call a buddy over to hand ya tools and grab the blower/bracket while you work the tools.

I feel your pain in design inconveniences, but routine maintenance issues are minor compared to the initial install. I'll never stop bitching about the pipe section design for the stage 2 kit. Putting couplers in the middle of shit and up against stuff really irritates me. Worm clamps instead of t-bolts. Sketchy dedicated drive design. The routing is so retarded you have to run their specific fan/shroud, and the fvckin fan is louder than the blower.

Love my procharger, still want a F1. lol

Yeah I had to do that a couple of months ago and its pretty easy, except for the fact that one of the bolts for the bracket snapped while trying to torque it. Good thing the bolt had really nice thread and used a left hand drill bit to remove it. :asshat:

Its weird.. only does it when its cold out at least mostly.

You sure its belt squeak and not a pulley bearing about to fry?

Belt dressing is a band aide, could hide the issue. Most of my experience with belt squeak on mod motors is pulley alignment, dry rotted belt, or pulley/accessory is dragging more load than normal (like power steering). Although in cold climate I suppose an older belt may just be stiffer, perhaps condensation on the pulleys.

It goes away when warmed up?

40k is a decent chunk of miles. I'd do a new belt for sure. If nothing else for that fact that if it chews up the serpentine away from home, it's not something you want to fart with on the side of the road. It's like a 15 minute job in the garage as it is.
