This is my first post, but I did search this issue and can not seem to figure this out. I have an 05 GT 29K and running a Brenspeed Tune, JLT, and Pypes Off Road X.
A week or so ago the mustang started acting up after washing it, it would start, hit idle and then shut off. I was throwing a few codes (P2111 P2104) I did some research and came to the conclusion it was the TPS sensor and then in my infinite wisdom, ended up breaking off my TPS screws when trying to remove, so I borrowed a friends stock TB and bought a new TPS and it ran great for this last week (except for it high revving in the morning when it was cold, much higher than normal), it would make an audible clicking noise, but corrected itself to a normal idle and be fine the rest of the day.
Just yesterday I went to switch my tune from the 93 octane to 87 octane and all of a sudden it happens again, and I am stranded at the gas station. Throwing TB codes again, and wont stay running. Its keeps giving me Engine Failsafe. I was able to get it started in limp mode but thats it.
If I had the money I'd just buy a whole new TB with motor and TPS sensor but I don't so I want to trouble shoot this the best I can. I have ScanXL Pro, and am going to spend sometime trying to trouble shoot with that today but would love some opinions on this, has anyone experienced anything similar?
