Looking for some opinions. So I love the sound of my mustang. Pypes headers, high flow cats, X-pipe, MBRP axlebacks. It has a nice raspy growl, nice rumble at idle, opens up when I step on it and screams. I get a lot of compliments on the sound.

The tone is great but the volume is a little low. On start up, its loud as hell, but once she kicks down its low. I would love to increase the volume a little without changing the tone too much.

Anyone running the muffle-delete MBRP's? I know pypes makes a set too that are loud. Are they just loud but sound like garbage? Maybe bassani's would be good? I'm open to suggestions or should I just keep it the way it is before I screw it up.

Did some youtubing but I'm not sure if the mic's are picking up the sound correctly so I'd rather get feedback. Thanks!

I had factory h-pipe/cats and muffler deletes. I still miss that sound at WOT! It was definitely loud.

The GTA's sound good but don't have that scream. I'm curious to see how they sound when I get my Kooks LT and catted X installed.

Did you make you're own muffler deletes or were you running one of the brands?

Headers really woke up my car IMO. you'll love it.

Muffler shop made them. Cut the rolled tips off the OEM mufflers and welded to a delete pipe.
I have HotRods I need to install too!

The Roush Extream exhaust sounds good and loud. They also lower the in car noise a lot. Big stainless tips. Brenspeed has sound clips. I love mine with Kooks long tubes and high flow cats.

I love my pypes headers and thought about their deletes. I was thinking I would try a different brand but I do like those.

Anyone with any experience or hear the MAC straight thru tubes? I heard they are almost too loud(if there is a thing)

Just put on some borla s types. Muffler deletes with LTs, that's gonna be way too raspy.

My MBRP are a stinger style and I like the tone, it's just volume I wanted. From what others have told me, my mbrps are about the same volume as most of the canister mufflers. I don't think I'd switch them unless it was for a delete. But I am afraid that it will be toooo raspy as you said. Ill have to see if I can get a used set cheap to hear how they sound. Looks like feedback is around 50/50

Yeah picking up a used set would be the way to go. I went thru 6 axlebacks until I found what I was looking for. Lol

I should have done that back when these cars were still new so that I could have resold them. I'm worried about getting stuck with extra sets taking up space in my garage. Hopefully in NJ I'll have better luck getting rid of parts

Still looking for something louder. Moved in our new house and alot of mustang are running around here and sound awesome. Very jealous. Like I said, love the tone of my MBRPs but want more volume.

Very much considering MAC boom tubes. Pypes has a similar set too but I like the slash cut better. Anything else that's loud? No idea what this one guy has but it's nasty sounding. Love it.

I haven't been on here much lately but I've seen that word a few times. Did I miss something?

The Roush axlebacks and Borla Stingers are highly reviewed on the forums.

I have Magnabacks which are too loud for my tastes. There's an echoing effect at 2k rpm and they scream at WOT. It's cool for short drives and gets compliments at gas stations and such, but the drone is too much for me on the interstate. PM me if you'd like to trade. Or if you want to sell the MBRPs outright, let me know.

Legato has been a running joke around the forums. There's a 150+ post thread on them and it has spiraled downward into a troll thread. From what I see they are rebranded Flowmasters and sound good for what they cost. But I'm not a fan of chambered mufflers.

See the problem I'm having is that my MBRPs are about as loud as the borlas. I love the quality, I have the better ones.

I wouldn't sell my mbrps until I was sure I liked something else. And even then, shipping wouldnt be cheap.

This is disrespectful for the Legato owners on the forum. There is no trolling. Only an accurate conversation surrounding the best available mufflers on the market.

I should add that with my Xpipe I don't want a chambered muffler.

Is the X pipe one piece? You could always have pipes made up to replace the cats so you can swap back and forth depending on your mood and inspection.

Legato is still no competition against Steeda's lifetime guaranteed mufflers that resist road salt including angry soccer moms. Their mufflers you can buy for your car are the same ones used on their Q650 race car.

I should add that with my Xpipe I don't want a chambered muffler.

Staying on topic..Mac Boomtubes were popular when these cars were new-ish. Have you heard sound clips of those yet?
