Just wondering whats the diameter of the stock 5.0 2011 gt piping from where the h pipe ends on back. Reason is i want to go to a muffler shop and have the resonators cut of and replaced with straight pipes. On other websites some guys say to replace it with 3" pipe, but others say that 2.5" pipe will be good enough, Whats your guys inout on this Thanks

Why not just get a 3" cat back so you will have consistant 3" the whole way to the muffleres and it deletes the resoantors. Senn and heard the magnaflow kit on a 5.0 in person, very nice!

700 bucks for just sounds is crazy to me. The stock cat back is not much if any of a restriction.

And resonators are straight through, not power robbers. Designed to control sound and resonances. If you want more "noise" take em out, but you may get resonances and drone you didn't want..

A typical resonator:

The stock resonators are "sleeved"...so when you cut them in half you see where there is extra lining inside thats chokes the exhaust flow. If you haven't removed your stock resonators in one way or another, you're restricting the flow.
