Good info in here for when i install my KB when I get home.

For the KB guys... how are the KB canned tunes for 10 psi?

My shop is a KB Dealer and when they install the 2.6 with the KB Tune, they generally see 430 RWHP through an automatic. When my shop tunes the car, they can get another 25-30 RWHP.

The KB Tunes are good, they're just going to be overly conservative as to not blow up any motors.

So in other words, I'll be safe running the KB tune for as long as, well, whenever?

Absolutely! We were doing a comparison between my car and another automatic car. Mine had a custom tune, the other the KB tune, the A/F on both cars were identical and right on top of each other at 12 A/F. My car just had a few more degrees of timing and a couple other things done to the tranny.

It's a good idea to double check the tune on the dyno after you install a blower.

Three days is all I had with the Supercharger before detonation ate up the motor. (Big cloud of smoke and a nice fireball) I have about 47,000 on this one and it is holding up great but it is a forged 302 with cams and a kb at 9 psi. I don't race it though.

I might add the new motor got a dyno tune and it is not the same tune as the kb. I have blown the motor and slapped a valve causing a rebuild with the canned tune from Kb...sooo I wouldn't even start your car. But alot of people have luck but I do know I am not the only one that had problems with that tune.

Three days definately sucks. My shop throw the cars on the dyno after every install to double check the tune and hasn't had a challenge. I guess there's always some cases out these. Sorry to hear that Matt.

I have had the Whipple HO in for about a year with no problems. 501RWHP 11psi and loads of fun. If you get the blower spend the extra cash and get it dyno tuned by a shop that knows our cars.

Gen 1 Whipple HO at 10lbs. Made 484rwhp and 469rwtq on a VMP dyno tune.

Blower went on at 12k miles and the car now has about 30k with 0 issues other than a fried clutch.

Just want to add the only issues I ever had with this car was a shredded bushing on my LCA and aftermarket clutch issues. I have a strong feeling I might end up with a built 4R70W with a manual valvebody when the motor is rebuilt for more power.
