11.72 @ 120 plus.. It felt really good leaving but still 1.86 60 god damn foot. Happy with the mph though..

this is like me at Atco 2 weeks ago.. my 60s were 1.60 and my best was a 1.58 but only going 11.87 at 117....

I was at 17psi pulling 1.6x 60fts then droped them to 12psi and pulled a 1.58 and launched harder. Are u datalogging your runs....? do u have adj. shocks..

nice bro!!!! keep up the work!!!!!

Thanks man. I have been heating these Nittos for at least 10 seconds, lol..
Good runs!

What are you doing that you're getting such high 60's? Spinning? Maybe lower your tire PSI.

Either way, nice runs! Perfect day for it here in the Northeast!
Wish I were at the track today!

We wait all year for this season!!!!

ur on the 15"s with DR right? drop it to like 16psi

Ya, the 15's..I dropped to 16 on my third run and the 60 ft. was about the same, but it felt way better. Best its ever felt leaving. had a slight violent feel to it..

keep it up Billy

Thanks Dave!!

I thought you had a good stall? Is it hitting the tires to hard?

Its a re-worked stocker with a 2,800 or so flash..

Sounds like you got those converter issues in 4th worked out! Big pick up in trap speed. Nice job.

Quickest of the day..

picture.php

And best mph of the day..An 11.72 at 120 +..The most mph Ive ever had was 116. I am glad I went with a shorter height tire out back. It really helped my gear ratio..But, I hit the rev limiter just before the stripe in 4th. I may have to go with a 60 tire vs. the 50 I have now..

You think? The only reason I got these Nittos was it was a great deal and I had to use a gift certificate. I really wanted Mickey's..

What gears do you have? I think the nittos at your power level should be fine. Next time out drop them to 14 psi. What was your best 60?

I wanted Mickeys all along. But I couldnt pass up the Nittos. I saod that to myself even if I only use them once. I will sell them this winter and get some Mickeys in a 60 height. Like I said, I am hitting the limiter just before the stripe. I am at 25.5"s tall. A 26" tall would be perfect..

If the Nittos aren't spinning then they aren't what is killing your sixty foot times. I suspect that your car is doing similar to the way mine did with stock convertor, which the Nittos worked just fine with, I was seeing 1.8 sixty foot times and a best of 11.68 at 121 plus mph however as soon as I put a real convertor in the car the best I could do was 2.20's because of tire spin. Since putting the 4200 Circle D and MT radials with no other changes other than rpm limiter setting it did 1.57 sixty and 10.87 at 125 plus. My suggestion for you would be keep the short tire for the gearing, buy a real convertor as we have talked about before, and raise your rpm limiter so you can make it through the traps. If your engine lives with the increased rpm it will be faster, mine with stock heads and cams was shifting at 6800 and going through the traps at 6900.

^^ I agree..I wanted to run the car with the smaller rear tire and big n littles. I know for sure I need a real converter. I am not going to throw anymore power at the car till I run its to its potential. Ive said that for a year now. I was thinking about raising the limiter at the track today, both 2nd and 4th gears. Cuz its bouncing of the limiter in both. But I decided to not fuck with it. My luck I willset it to 7,800 instead of 6,800, lol..this winter i will put a really good TC in it, and have my tuner give it anoither tranny tune and raise 4th gear 2 rpm..Then it should be game on in spring..

Sounds like a plan, and it should work well for you.

Billy did you get any launch pics/vids?

As said before tq converter & tire are probably the biggest issues.. but what about are you running the front swaybar? Have more in the springs/shocks/struts? Your wheel/tire setup you pushed away from cornering, might as well match the suspension too (bench racing & spending other peoples money  )

I have some plans for the suspension this winter. But first and foremost is a real converter(I knew for a year I needed one, but wanted to try the smaller tire first) and another tranny tune from da man..I told myself that I was not going down the road of 1/4 mile only car. Its still a street car in every sense. Its a full weigth, full street trim car minus the spare tire. I have seen too many, mostly on this forum, that went down that road, and regretted it.

Definitely do not want you pushing it to not streetable.. enjoy cruising with ya, but sayyyy CJ springs and adjustable shocks/struts, streetable and you can dial it in at the track
