Stock gears? Fastest I ran with CAI, BAMA Race tune, UDP's and ORH was a 13.29@105. Next season I added the CMPD's and a 100 shot of NOS and got down to a 12.20 , not spraying till 2nd gear, best 60ft was a 1.91. I put my radial tire pressure at 28 pis and pumped the fronts up around 50, 40 PSI was way too much for you! Keep practicing your launches and you shop drop a few tenths!

Nice start! Now you just need some traction and a hard launch. A pair of drag radials and a stall converter and you'd be running 12.90's (or better).

Stock Converter, stock gears, and ty guys!

I am aware I need tires bad, would slicks or drag radials be a better choice? I've heard slicks were less harsh due to the sidewall being able to ripple, can anyone confirm this?

Drag Radials......no offense, you are no where near the power to run slicks....if you had a stick car leaving on limiter, yeah, but that auto car, with bolt-on's, drag radials is best....

And I know where you can get a torque converter that would pick those times up 5+ tenth's......

No offense taken at all I ask questions for a reason.

Now as for TQ converters (and I know you know your stuff chris), what's the highest stall I can run for a DD that won't affect drivability?

P.S. before anyone says I know, stay away from TCI.

My converter flashes to 4800 rpm's on launch and is very, very streetable. My car is a daily driver and the revs are minimal until you stand on the throttle, then wham, 4800 rpm's. It's a lock-up converter so fuel economy is decent and the car pulls hard like a stick shift car at the track (my converter holds full lock-up at WOT, even behind the supercharger). My converter has been awesome (dropped my times 3 full tenths at the drag strip), durable, and trouble free, but the company that built it for me 3 years ago appears to have disappeared (Fuddle Racing in Utah). As TCI seems to be building junk according to everyone, that leaves PI. Not sure about anyone else building quality converters for the 5R55S now.
