Decided to take the car down to PIR and see what it's got after doing the swap. Aside from beating a new R/T Challenger and an older STi on the highway, I haven't really had fun with the car since dropping the 3v in. It was opening night so an above average amount of hard parkers and annoying vehicles, but for the most part a good group of what I would consider slower cars. The fastest thing there was a Hellcat Charger trapping 125.
I made 7 passes in the span of 2 hours and the car got faster every pass. Apparently I can't cut worth a darn and didn't take enough off of the sway bar tabs so the drag tires didn't fit. Had to run on the 255/45/18 BFG Comp Allseasons. Started with a really awful 13.9 at 106 that made me want to set it on fire. Spun, bogged, spun again, and finally got going.
After learning that this track focused suspension is no good on the drag strip, changed launching technique a little bit and picked up some time and mph. Ended the night with a 13.3 at 109 mph....is that a good time/speed for my car?
Full weight (3600ish with driver), 3.31 gears, 27" tall all season tires, Comp 127400 cams, Steeda CAI, Roush UDP, Pypes LT's and O/R H. Stock throttle body, intake manifold, and charge motion plates. It has a ton of nice suspension parts, but not for drag racing so I knew it wasn't going to be blistering fast especially on street tires. Have't had it on the dyno so no power numbers.
All in all, I'm happy with the speed and will take the ET. 60' on the 13.3 run was 2.1 so there is definitely room for growth in my opinion. Thoughts?
