Its a little George.

I always had my best luck along side the long stretches of concrete based bridges, and at the rocky points, when they were running. Chasing them down was the fun part.

They were fishing from the bank at their camp. Not sure if it was by the dam or not.

I do believe I will load the boat up on Sunday and hit the lake. All this talk has gotten to me.

Anybody know of some good spots in Bryan/College Station, Tx? My wife is at a conference and I came down with our camper and my gear and I have no clue where to go.

Gibbons Creek is right outside of College Station. Not sure how much time you have but Somerville Lake is about 30-40 miles from Gibbons Creek.

Its a good day to be out there. Here is your fishing report from 2 days ago. Water might be a little muddy with all of the rain in the past 48 hours.

Date Report
May 15, 2013 Water clear. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms with chartreuse tails. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are good on minnows, shrimp, and liver.

Thanks for the fishing report but man they didn't like what I had to offer. I couldn't land a single fish fishing from the bank. There was somebody in waders near me that landed 8 on the same lures I was using. Just wasn't my day. Pretty though. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1368814160.439427.jpg

Haven't been on in a while, but I see some nice fishing going on! I've been hunting smallmouth as usual this year and have done pretty good...several 4 and 5 pounders out of Crooked Creek and the Lower Buffalo River here in Arkansas. Ok so I just gave away the two best spots for smallmouth bass in Arkansas, but I think it's safe to say that here. :) Anyway I dropped my new HTC Windows Phone in the water and lost all the pics so sorry for no pics, but that is the update. Keep em coming! Love this thread.

We do a decent amount of crappie fishing around here, but this year hasn't been as good as year before last. Had 290 in 2 weekends that year, and barely even 200 this year after 7 weeks straight.
We do another kind of "fishing" too... Here are a few things we "fish" for :D

Love to bow fish. Ill have to dig through my pictures from last year. I haven't been this year just yet. Buddy of mine just bought a brand new air boat. Ready to hit the water with bow in hand.

I'm no pro, but I enjoy fishing. I have a small aluminum boat with a 10hp Mercury that my little girl and I go out on quite often. I troll mostly with Rapalas, and catch our limit almost every time. Aside from mountain biking, this is what consumes a lot of my weekends through the summer.

That's at my favorite fishing hole, Lost Creek Reservoir. It's about an hour from me, but it's way out of the city, is wakeless speeds only so there are no skiers or the type to bug us, and there is hardly anyone there. Plus the fishing has always been good.
