I'm considering changing the clutch fluid line and with the A/C lines right in front of the clutch master cylinder, how do you get to the fitting? I already know the one near the transmission is a bitch, but the the one at the firewall I don't see how I can get to it. The FRPP instructions only show a later car with a sound tube. The A/C lines aren't even there. Can't find pics, youtube vid, nothing.

Maybe remove the clutch pedal assembly and unbolt the master

I just looked at the car again and it looks like you can remove two bolts and lift the receiver/dryer up and out of the way giving you a clear shot. Don't know if this is right, but it sure looks like it is.

I was able to work around it on my 09. Huge pain in the butt. I'd show a picture but Photobucket....

I did mine without taking anything else out, it's been a while though, lol.

I'm not too concerned about getting the clip out (maybe I should be), more concerned with getting a rag right under the fitting and not spilling brake fluid on the painted surface right below.

As I recall I needed to unbolt the whole pedal assembly to get access to the clutch master cylinder and line.

In the end I went back to the stock line. IMO it isn't the line as much as it is the master cylinder. Think about it, the stock line is very hard plastic while the replacement line is braid covered rubber.

If you delve into the situation deeper it comes down to the pressure plate and how much travel is required to move the clutch fast. In my case it was something as simple as using lube on the input shaft splines prior to assembly.
