Ford Procal tool

So I am going to be selling my 2.3L blower as a kit to someone.
I was just wondering how I could interchange the pro-cal between cars. (so that the guy buying it can use it.) Or if they had to contact Ford and get one specific for their ECU. Has anyone else been through this?

with sct you have to return the car back to stock and its unlocked. Might be the same, not really sure, just a thought lol

I was hoping someone who really knew would chime in here, I have a procal that I want to sell along with a cai, but I want to make sure the person who buys it that it will work right.

According to the instructions that came with it says you can load another car after the stock tune has been reinstalled but I would like to know for sure, because the chip they sent had my vin on it.

UM, I know that FRPP charges a 90 reburn fee. FRPP makes you give them that long number off the back of the PCM not the little number off the sticker up top. I have had a pro cal recalibrated from frpp becuase of adding gears on a car. For sure you have to return the car to stock with it first, would it read the PCM right i doubt it but call frpp.

Giving up on the Whipple already?

When I ordered the procal tool, I had to get specific codes off the PCM (I acutally had to remove it to see them). My guess would be that the procal tool is specific to the vehicle and will probably not just plug & play into another one. Email FRPP tech, they respond very fast.

It takes more than just changing the setting on your handheld tuner to correctly tune for a gear swap.

What are you talking about? Explain to me how the rear gear affects the engine management system.

I can adjust my whipple tune using the procal tool for any gear or tire size in 5 minutes.

No that was two years ago and there were no settings on the pro cal tool I have. Its on little switch, you plug it in the light is red or yellow and when the light turns green the run is loaded. No screen, no options.

Why would you? Just like he doesn't think about manuals. All we needs is the speedo fixed, we decide our own shift points.
