In legalese, you may be considered a "sophisticated" party in the eyes of law--which now means that you should have known better and should have asked the specifics about cancellation and the price match guarantee. Most of the time, a price match guarantee is that they will match the price of any competitor when you are shopping around. A lot of places will say, we will match and beat any advertised price by an authorized vendor.

Please give us examples of "MANY places" that offer price match guarantees that last well after the point of purchasing the item. The only place I can think of is Amazon on pre-order items. Sometimes, Amazon (out of goodwill) will refund you the difference on recently purchased items if there is a price drop shortly after your purchase.



Again, I agree with you. I don't see what the big deal is but legally, they don't have to do anything other than give you what you originally ordered. In any case, I hope they make it right for you and the rest of us as well.

Amazon doesn't have a price match guarantee at all. They don't have ANY sort of price matching. They do it out of goodwill. Amazon does lowest-price guarantee, and that's before they even charge you for the item. Once they charge you for it, it doesn't work anymore.

Again, what you "think" the guarantee should be is based on absolutely nothing. There's nothing on their website saying anything that says that. It's just hard for me to see how a reasonable person in same or similar circumstances could have thought what you're thinking.

Yeah except your wheel weren't in stock, which is almost always a requirement for more price match and lowest price guarantees.

What if the competitor does not have the item in stock or has limited quantities of the product?
Sometimes a retailer will advertise a product as having limited quantities in stock. If the item is out of stock or the competitor has advertised as limited quantities of an item, it is not eligible for price matching. Oh one other thing is I also offered FWS if they could just change my order from plain Silver to the Machined Titanium for the same original $1340 price then I'd be happy. That was my last email to them on Monday and haven't heard back from them either whereas before I always got a response within 1 day. Again, I think it's an F me at this point.

We'll see what happens with the dispute. I would hope I wouldn't lose the dispute but who knows…

LOL, you serious? FWS is an online retailer, obviously the gaurantee would apply to another online retailer in their case. Regardless, the point of the "Guarantee" is the same, that it applies after you pay because thats the whole point of having the guarantee.
