$70K! Saw these at Auto Club Dragway this past weekend (1/3 &1/4/09)
Only 51 made, $69,900 msrp. These two being prepped for Winternationals.
They say 5.4l supercharged at 400hp...I think it's a little more than that

i saw a vid off the JDM site, they were talking to the Ford guy in charge of the CJ project (IIRC) and he said it was 400hp from the factory as they left a lot on the table (by choice) for the racer to build on the car.

Certainly we all know what a 5.4L 4V is capable of, where is Eric (PLStang) when we need him!

yea they do that so some1 can throw a intake on it and say they picked up 200hp lol , speakin of the devil i wonder what eric is up too ? he's been too quiet something must be up he must be drilling that nitrous pill lol

that car makes more than 400 hp. It's got to make way over 400 at the tires.

Watch the JDM video. They talk about the motor being a detuned verison of the gt500 motor.
I think it is due the fact that these cars are only cert. for 10.0 so any more hp and they would break into the nines and not be NHRA legal.

If you look on the FRPP site, there is a new 'Romeo' crate putting out 600. I guess this - like the super snake - can be pulley swapped to 750ish. Its a shame he is not a bit more clear in the vid about the gearbox...

no pulley swap to 750 on this. IIRC it has the Eaton blower, the SS comes with a 2.8L KB Mammoth blower to get to 750 HP. Pretty sure the tranny is a TR6060
