Whats everyone running in the front?
My car is launching hard, but when shifting into second gear, it is unloading the rear tires and causing it to spin. this happens again in 3rd and 4th. this is on the street(which is most of the problem) but im wondering what everyone is running for a front spring rate... Also qa1 adjustables?

On my racecar ive always ran 90/10s with an extra shock actually but i'm a little hesitant to run a 90/10 on a street car. What is yoyr strange setup?

I have their 10 way single adjustables and set it right were they recommend it for racing. The front is almost full loose and the rear is in the middle. Am going from memory cause I never change it, even when driving on the street. The car launches, back end squats, front lifts and just holds it. No "porpoising" at all.

Strange setup was only around $500 and was recommended when I posted a shock thread a while back.

Cobra jet springs (m-5300-q variants), and strange 10-way adjustable struts/shocks on my '05

My first trip down the quarter was last night and I had the struts and shocks set to +6 all the way around (time in sig). I plan to try full loose up front on my next outing.

In the Feb 2013 issue of 5.0 mustang, JPC did a drag suspension test on a forum members car and set the strange struts/shocks to 0/full loose up front and +2 on the rear to get their best 60 foot time.

What tires do you run?

I run stock struts and BMR race springs on the front with the sway bar removed. No issues at all, best 60' on drag radials is 1.41.

Since this topic is about front suspension I'd like to ask about front tires and their effect on 1/4 mile racing. I have an extra pair of the stock 18" polished aluminum wheels for my car and I was considering having them narrowed to about 4" so I could install some front runner tires. I know one of the major tire makers has 18" skinnies. So with the loss of weight and rolling friction how much are they worth in the 1/4 mile?

guessing the diff could be greater with 15" skinnies and bias ply front runners (less weight)
