I had Hot Rods installed and was told the cams really need LTs to perform correctly. Two weeks later I went back and had long tubes and Hi Flo cats installed and it was a whole new car. The cams really came alive in performance with the LTs.

Best of luck to you... you will like the HR cams.

yeah most of the videos I have been looking are just running after market mufflers and O/R H or X pipe's. But I would assume any cam would come to alive with
LT's..

That is stock cams, stock heads, stock 5R55S, 4.11, AL DS, MT Drag Radials, custom 93 tune.

I now have HR Cams, LT Headers, LCA lowering bkts, CMCV Deletes, 60mm TB, and larges JLT CAI

I hope to get it track tested soon, but it's so blistering hot and humid around here I don't expect better numbers until Oct.

Can't tell you what to do, but I know I'm going with the Hot Rods...after I get some LT's

Yeah I know you can't tell me what to do. But it seems like everyone who has the Hot rod cam is really happy with them. I am looking for a cam that is very well liked and perfoms well. And it sounds like that the hot rod cam is just that cam. I have not heard one bad thing about it yet.

Yeah I think from the way it sounds I will be very happy with them. While at work last night I compared the two cams. I think the hot rod is the way to go since it's made for the 3V motors..

Still can't beleive you're going to pay $2500 for 2 parts, install, and dyno tune.

Just a thought and I know it would cost a little more now.But would'nt it be better to do the cams and l/ts now and hold off on gears like someone already suggested. This would maximize power since your having it dyno tuned. The gears can be put in later and would only need to go into the tuner to change gear ratio for speedo. In the long run it will save you money. One dyno tune for cams and L/Ts instead of separately. You might even get these 2 mods for same price.L/Ts are really a DIY mod if you don't mind a few cuts and scraps and have a buddy willing to help. Then the only labor would be cam install and dyno tune. The money you save in labor might pay for the L/Ts.

I am going to call today and see what it will cost today with adding long tube headers. I know the cam is asking for a higher gear and I am not for sure what gears I have now since i bought the car used. But I am thinking i have 3.73 gears since alot of people saying that those gears wine.. Not for sure on how to check if they are.
