Broke dafuk down
Seriously, if he would sell it for 2k. That is a great deal! Think of how much a stroker kit costs, then even add the cost of an aluminum block. Then machine work. I know personally how much it costs and your well into over 3k. Glws

If the ra on the deck is correct then the cylinders may be able to be corrected as torque plates were not used. Key word may. They may have to be bored and then pistons would not be in spec. Either new pistons or block. Either way $2k is still a good deal as you atleast have a usable rotating assy and usable block. The two may not work together but still have value as it was never ran that way.

I would be pissed at the shop that bored and honed it . They should have known better

It was a demonstration block for training using a Rottler system

Sorry, just calling it like I see it. It was Sunday when I asked for those specs. Not gonna pay big money on an engine that I don't know the specs, esp when it comes with 4032 pistons.

Here are the questions that anyone interested will probably want to know.

What is the piston to bore clearance?

Measured to be .0022

What were the rings gapped at and what kind of rings are they?

.0195/.0265 - CP rings per CP

What are the bearing clearances and what kind of bearings were used?

Clevite bearings. They're within blueprint spec, didn't write down final plasti-gauge numbers

What tq values were used?

60ftlb per ARP spec

What assembly lube was used?

Amsoil Assembly

What rod bolts are they? Do you have a closer pic of the rod bolts and the crankshaft verifying it is a kellog?

They're ARP 2000 bolts supplied by Manley. There are no markings on the crank; only the box which is already recycled.

Can you send copies of the receipts?

No longer have them- rather, it was a packing slip that went out w/ the box

What finish on the cylinder walls and head deck?

Don't remember, we misplaced the RA gauge

How many pieces of mallory metal were needed to balance it out?

Came balanced from Kellogg or Brenspeed, don't know what was used.

Interested but what exactly needs to be done to the engine before it can be put in my car?

Considering a short block would cost $4500 by the time you pay taxes and ship it,I think this is a great deal!this is the same setup jdm has used for years and will handle a lot of boost.4032 piston are good unless your going over 1000hp,then it safer to get 2618 and a thicker pin.People.GLWS

Surely there is something in between the $40 that the scrap yard will give you and the $3k you are asking. Hell - put it on ebay with no reserve.
