It's the shipping... I'll have to schedule a pickup, make a waybill, properly pack/seal it... I've been lowballed for all my other parts so, meh.

$2500, buyer pays shipping.

I'm gonna assume by mixed metals they were rendering to the aluminum block and the forged rotating assembley being the mixed metals.

Scrap yards/recyclers don't give you shit... I took an aluminum driveshaft once that was too short and they only wanted to give me $25 for it... Be patient bro, you'll find a buyer...

Nobody is giving you that much money for it. Would be better to part it out or take a huge loss for it. If you do part out, let me know

Not going to waste any more time w/ this Mustang crap... I'm selling it as a whole thing...

I'm building a motor for my new car.

I can't see the video because I am not registered at Facebook (and will not). I'm not fully understanding exactly what is wrong with this assembly/block combination. Can somebody explain it to me in simpleton terms?

The block wasn't bored using a torque plate. That leaves a lot of room for error...cylinders not being perfectly round, for one.

Both items are worth money...but not as a unit. To get the bore squared up, it needs to be bored again using a torque plate..which will make it an overbore. Then the pistons will be too small when that's done.

This isn't some big bore big block where the head studs are abnormally close to the cylinder walls. Some people take this torque plate thing a little too seriously. Unless you're building some monstrous ci motor that makes well over 1000 hp it's really not that big of a deal. As DVEST8R said, it will run just fine. This is a hell of a steal right here.

$2200 shipped. Moving out of state so I need this gone.

And I won't separate internals because it'll cost me even more time and money to disassemble, clean, pack, and ship. Then I still have a block no one wants (unless someone wants to make a coffee table).

This is not a iron block either. I have seen what happens when they are not used. It is not pretty. Ask any professional modular builder. ..

That is a great deal. . Someone will snag this for sure. The ra alone is worth more
