Almost time to park the mustang for the winter. Should I add some Stabil or Iso heet in the gas tank? or none? I filled the gas tank today with 1/2 tank of fuel.

Your gonna get mixed replies on this. I personally have never added Stabil, but I only store the car for 4-5 months. Never had a problem...

I usually top the tank off like Lightblade said, but this year I didnt. I will be making some modifications over the winter that will require a retune so Id like to get some "fresh" gas in as soon as it comes out of storage.

I use Stabil in my Harley and have for a long time and it has NEVER failed me, ie.....gummed up injectors, notta! Alot of my buds end up with clogged injectors for NOT using it during storage.

drive the car, when its ~1/2 tank put in the correct amount of stabil for your tank size and then fill it up, and drive for a bit to get it all mixed/in the lines and what not, store the car with a full tank, and using the lift points, and jack stands get the tires off the ground.

I was thinking this today...With the ethanol in the friggen gas would Stabil help to reduce the drying out and/or clogging of all things fuel related? I didn't add anything last winter and had no problems. But I hear some stories about todays gas f-ing shit up.

N/M I found the other threads on this subject.

Not sure about that. I didn't add anything to my gas tank. In the winter, how much ethanol is added in gasoline?
