I have thought about a 5.4, but then I would have to have the turbo kit redone.

^^LOL.

If any of you guys that are doing built engines now are wanting a clutch to go with your engine build, I am going to be removing a 03/04 cobra 11" clutch with 1500 miles on it. Also will have a hurst competion shift for sale soon.

Picked up a used RST 10 spline clutch today. I did make a call the Mcleod and they said it would be $75 to rehud to 26 spline or $400 to completely rebuild it. Either way I will be money ahead. Final decision on which way I go will be made once it gets here and I lay eyes on it.

In other news, since I am not in a huge hurry to get the car back together I am going to wait a few more weeks before I pick up the bmr k-member. BMR usually throws a pretty good black friday sale so hopefully that will save me a few dollars.

Great choice on RST. I love my current and I loved the one that was in the car with the 3650. Took plenty of abuse and was used.

A good friend of mine is kind enough to let me winter my car in his shop this year, along with giving us more room for the upcoming winter mods. Today I drove the car over to his place. The car has no turbo kit on it right now so I just drove it over there with open headers. Had to take a vid of that, didn't realize these cams chopped so much until the turbo kit was removed.

Sounds like open headers all right haha. I thought about seeing what my long tubes and hot rods sounded like but decided not to piss off the neighbors.

The more I listen to that video the more I want to sell the turbo kit and go with a R-Spec DOB. The turbo just kills all the cam lope, hell you can hardly tell these cams lope at all when the turbo kit is on.

I know, and I am pushing the stock crank pretty hard so I would rather not add more pressure to it by driving a supercharger off of it. The "free" power of the turbo is just too much to pass up.

Back to the build with a question here. I have my stock oil pan tapped on the side just like ON3 and Vortech recommend for the oil return line. Looking under the car today, that area will be where my new up-pipe runs. Can someone recommend me an oil pan that has a bung in the front for an oil return?

Thanks Mike. Trans is scheduled to be delivered Tues, RST will go out Monday for a rebuild and rehub, and I will be purchasing a BMR K-member on the Black Friday sales that they better have. That will keep me building for awhile. After Christmas I will get all the rearend and suspension goodies.

It sounds like your piping is going to run very similar to mine (powerhouse kit). Here is a pic where I tapped mine in case you want to pic up another stock pan.

An FYI, I did the same spot as GTKidd, but I pulled my pan on install and had a bung welded in the pan to ensure absolutely no burs and a good seal.

Took the engine off the market. Decided rather than sell a perfectly good motor that fits my needs in search of dyno numbers, I am going to concentrate on finishing my suspension mods. I did receive my TR6060 swap from Steve Poe today. Pics coming soon.
