I like the top end of the F1A but it just doesn't have the low end torque I'm looking for. I'm putting down 700 rwhp at 6000 rpm with only 13 degrees of timing it's still on the break in tune 18-19 psi. The only thing bad about the swap is replacing my long tubes, 4.10s, and 127550 blower cams

Looking good. I should pick up some CHE relocation brackets also.

Sonic, another thing I thought of is that you could wastegate that F1A and make up some of that torque you were wanting. Also more timing should help that too

I thought of waste gating it last year but decided against it , it deff needs more timing this is my break in tune that's why the Rev limiter is set at 6000. I want to get retuned already but I'm seeing e70 up here gotta wait till spring I guess.

Ordered my BMR K-member from Jayman33 with Hypermotive Performance today. That should be that last piece to start installing the turbo kit. With the messed up shipping this week, I probably wont see many parts this week anymore, but next week should be fun.

Okay guys, I have a question. Since my engine only has 700 miles on it, would I be correct in thinking that I could disassemble it, swap to a cobra crank, rebalance and then just simply reassemble? IE, not needing to rehone, change rings?

As long as the pistons are kept in the same bores you should be alright. Are you losing faith in the stock crank?

Just not sure how well the stock crank will hold up to launching the car at 5k under boost. I would rather spend a little putting in a forged crank than to have to completely rebuild including buying new heads and all.

Mostly just comes down to spending more I don't need to when I am bored, lol.

Do the rings rotate at all after the pistons are installed? I was thinking if they don't rotate then they would be seated to the bores in the orientation they were installed. Thats just a thought. I have no idea if it would even matter.

The RST came back to me today. I have to say that I am very happy with Mcleod's service and turn around time. I now have a brand new 26 spline RST for right at $450!!

I also got the Steeda DS loop from Brian and a set of BMR Springs from SCBoss

I will more than likely be picking up a McLeod Steel Fw also, I am just cut off from spending anymore money until after Christmas, lol. I do still have my CHE order and BMR K to show up this week yet.

Good deal. The Exedy flywheel I had was slightly larger diameter than the McLeod clutch pads. I had about 1/4" unused pad around the inside. Make sure whatever flywheel you get has no more than 6" inner diameter on the contact surface.
