Trying to figure out my warm start issues and rule out voltage as an issue, I just did numberous tests with my volt meter on the car.

1. Engine off/12+ and 12- studs on the firewall will 12.07volts.

2. Engine off/12+ stud and engine block for - are 12.07 volts.

3. Engine off/12+ and 12- on the battery in the trunk are 12.07 volts.

4. Engine running and all three above scenarios = 14.06volts

Relocation kit was done before last summer and none of the problems with the starting issue were there last year. Only engine mods done this year were the id1000s vs the frpp80s and the turbo hotside

voltage sounds good, but it takes AMPS to start the car. Batteries have a "cranking amp" rating which is what gets drawn all at once when engaging the starter. Sounds to me like you need to replace the battery and get one that has good cranking amps. Normal cranking amps are around 800 i believe. With age it will drop and the battery relocation will affect this as well. I think autozone can test this on the car as you crank it.

Correct they can read cranking amps. Batteries are rated at cold cranking amps as well so when the car/battery is warm the starter pulls more. The longer wiring pulls more as well.

Spent a couple hours with Manuel last night exchanging logs and emails. Car is starting better and sorted a couple drivabilty issues. Wil put some miles on it now and see what happens.

Is there a way to move the battery back to the front or did you use up that space? I've had issues with relocates, and so have many other people... sometimes it just doesn't work well. We all know how these cars hate voltage/ground/charging system issues.

I took the car to the Airport Dragraces on the 4th. Car worked very well. I did give it plenty of time to cool off between runs and didn't have a "failure to start" issue all day. I have a couple vids uploading.

My wife shot these two with her phone. Was awfully windy so they are pretty shakey

This is at an airstrip. They set up stage lights and a tree and that is all. No slips, but is a hell of alot of fun.

Btw, after swapping to the Roush springs the car has much more traction. I didnt launch off the two step, but did use the no-lift-shift. Launched at about 3k and let it bog just a little on the start(need more practice with that). Had 20psi cold in the Hoosier and it dead hooked. The surface is a pretty rough concrete with no prep and shitty burnouts all day.

Using Roush vent pods it is easy. Autometer Cobalt digital boost/vac on the left and LC-1 wideband on the right.

16lbs on all but the last in-car vid, which was 20lbs. The second in car vid was against a built 5.0 foxbody on 6lbs of boost and a 100 shot. Still got him by about 2 cars after missing 4th(which was the only run I missed a gear on all day)
