You should probably build a motor based on the GT500 5.8 modular motor. The block will cost more but everything else will be the same price. In fact the crank will be super cheap for the forged unit you want when compared to what a stroker crank is going for. It would be easier to bump the compression with a 5.8.
The Intake would be expensive too. I would love to see someone build a 5.8L 3V. It would be almost the same price to do 5.8L with navigator heads and coyote intake.
That would require a whole new timing set, timing cover, etc. Doesn't seem worth the trouble. Right now it is between stock stroke 4.6 again, big bore stock stroke, or big bore stroker.

To bad you couldn't run a stock coyote crank. I wonder how much those bearing would cost to be made that lito used. If you found someone to make them I bet some people would buy some on the forum.
Well gentlemen, I pulled the engine today and started disassembling it. I think it looks pretty good. There are some vertical markings in some of the cylinders, but not sure that that is an issue at all or not.
Tomorrow I can finish tearing this down to the shortblock. Then I think I will tackle the ac delete. After that if I have any ambition left I can remove all the EVAP stuff. I also found a Kellogg 3.800 crank and Manley 5.850 rods that I am going to buy.
Can anyone with a Boss block confirm that it also has these to threaded holes here next to where the oil filter block bolts on? I am going to use these holes to mount my ps pump lower.
Also, do the main bolt kits that come with the boss block, do they work with the stock windage tray? trying to figure out if I should remove my stock windage tray from my sb when I ship it. The guy is buying it with the Mcleod FW that is on it now so I will need to find a new rear seal plate for the boss plate. Any difference between years I should look out for getting a back plate?
