So essentially the two sets of rings I listed above are the same rings? One set is Manley and the other ModMax is all?

I will have to search and see if I can find the rings you guys posted on summit since they seem a bit more affordable on there.

Edit. You guys are talking about the same Manley rings I have above. Looks like rings are another thing they like to up the price on for the big bore.

I'd be trying CNC in Brookings.

Went ahead and ordered the Manley steel rings. Once the rings come in along with the two pistons I will be ready to take everything back to the machine shop again.

Doing a little more engine bay clean up and weight reduction this weekend.

I also got my mishimoto radiator put in. I am redoing some of the wires on the passengers side as well(running them through the fender. Going to redo the brake lines and run them through the fender on the other side as well. I already have the abs module under the drivers headlight so it will just be bending the lines some.

The two new pistons and seel rings showed up. Hopefully I can get all this stuff back to the machine shop next Saturday so he can get started on it.

Also I need to throw a shout out to the the Freedom Racing guys. I ordered a box of goodies from them on Sunday evening and it all showed up today already.

Can you give me links to the Freedom order? Did it come with phasers?

The engine is back at the machine shop as of about 10:00 this morning. He said he was pretty he could get it fit in quickly and have it out in a few weeks. I still need to get new heads and the larger cams in along with a bunch of misc gaskets.

Anyway, here is a before and after pic of the most recent redo of the wire tuck and ac delete.

Ordered cams today. Went with livernois stage 4 turbos cams(don't hate me Manuel).

I also will have the Fox Lake stage 3 heads here very soon. They are supposed to be being packed up this weekend. Shortblock is at the machine shop as well. Just playing the waiting game again now.

I bought mine second hand with under 3k miles on them for cheap. Win/win lol.

Yeah, I got mine used too from a member on here. Did you go with bronze valve guides? Mine are just waiting their turn in line. He did verify that they would be fine to modify with good decks and nothing wrong with them.

Yes, bronze guides with Manley stock sized valves. SS intake and inconel exhaust. Been checked and ready to go. I will be installing new valve springs though.

Yeah, I went stock size manley valves also. He recommended PAC springs, so just went with what he said. Once he gets the heads machined he is sending them to swaintech to get the heads and valves coated. They come back and the valves get sent to microblue for coating then back to him. Then he assembles and sends to me, LOL.

You are all about the coating. I would consider it if the pocket book would let me discuss it.

Since I have the time, and I think it will help, decided to get it done. The microblue I am not 100% sure on, but decided to try it and see. I know the swaintech is good shit to have in the combustion chamber.

Pretty sure this is what I used. I kept the box around so I'd know what I used but I can't find the box right now.

I used these bearings as well....
