Thanks. I've been looking at HID kits recently, and I want one that I don't have to cut wires. I'm trying to ensure I can return my car to (near) stock without too much difficulty in the event that I sell it.

I'm not too far ahead of you really in terms of spending. I bought the car used for $36k private party, and I have another $10,568.68 in it, which is net of a few things that I've sold like the stock grille, side scoops and quarter window louvers. Aside from the brakes, the wheels, and now my new seats, it's been all small purchases for the most part. I have a few more parts coming for it this week. I'm running out of "small stuff" to do, which brings me ever closer to buying a blower.

Paul.

Same here... I pretty much have all the little things and cosmetic mods on the car. Next is the big money stuff. I'm probably going to hold off on that this year. I'm in the process of buying a bigger place so that's gonna absorb most my cash this year.

Thanks Scott. I like those hids.

No problem man.

I'm not even sure I'm gonna do big performance mods. It doesn't really end up being worth it I think. The cost of a blower / built motor / trans / clutch / driveshaft is about the same as the difference in cost between my car and a '13/'14 Shelby. My buddy just bought a '13 Shelby and it put down 622 rwhp stock. I may just drive my car for a few more years, maybe do some minor performance mods, then put it all back to stock and buy a '13/'14 Shelby or whatever cool model Ford comes out with next.

I've thought about that myself. I just pay this one off and keep it, then buy a newer 2015+ SVT, Z06, or Viper

Paul ...

I talk with a lot of people and what you say many-many others think just like you.

And in many cases have traded or sold their now older S-197 Mustangs in on a Shelby GT-500.

I just keep doing my thing on my 08 Bullitt Mustang.

But that is me and thank goodness everyone does not think like me. :highfive:

Yup it's all personal preference. I kind of wish I would have kept my Bullitt at times.

I seen this over on SVT, and love how clean it looked. The next step I will be taking is to clean up the engine as this guy did.

Not entirely the same but just a lot cleaner than it currently is. I may fab up some custom fluid tanks out of Aluminum and do some other plumbing adjustments if possible.

Fabric Dye Pen

Takes a steady hand and some time but works great. I even did the steering wheel.

You can buy then at a craft store or even Wal-Mart now I believe.

I hear ya. Something like that can't be rushed and would definitely take sometime. Drew did an awesome job and I must admit it takes stones to do it as well. :)
