Where did you get the orange plastidip?! Jk. Looks great. We need dyno and track numbers when you get it done.

Dude I have to give you props for stepping outside the norm... it's good to see that people still dare to be different sometimes.

I dig it.... only thing I would change would be the spoiler and the front end

Nice job man!

If you don't mind me asking what does it cost to wrap a car?

My graphics guy quoted me at the lowest I was thinking like $1200 at one time. You can get 5' x 50-100' of the 3m vinyl wrap for like $300-400 on ebay

Every local wrap shop wanted $3,000-$4000. Material was $800 for this job, and my buddy did the wrap.

$1200 cannot be an accurate price, there is simply too much time involved in a proper wrap job.

Well I think that was on the very low side of a wrap depending on what it was and what the sq ft of the car was. Price wasn't a quote for my car. And I may just be remembering wrong lol

I really want to have mine done though.

You left the door jams and stuff black didn't you?
Did you help at all or was it all your Buddy?

The door jambs and all are still black, there's no point in wrapping those. I helped in the disassembling and assembling part, and also helped him hold different ends of the material as he laid it down, etc. I didn't do any of the wrapping myself. I paid $800 for the material alone, though the matte orange was a specialty color. Had it been matte black, it would have been 600 or so. That is with the discount that my friend receives.

Gorgeous ride man. It turned out great, and I like how you left some parts black for contrast. And props to you for going out on a limb and trying something different.

Thanks man! It's something I've wanted to do for a while, even with my last Mustang. I think the GT500 was the perfect candidate!

2k does not seem bad to me at all.. But I guess that is just me. I mean if I am going to repaint my car a different color and have it done right, I know it would cost me 3-4K to be done right.

How about some RACESTARS?!

Once my Vossens are gone I will be picking up the wheels I had on my convertible from the guy I sold them to, they are 18" Gunmetal Forgestar CF-5's.

Looking great. I've thought for a while about wrapping my roof. I've seen one guy do it around here (forget who he is). Another thing I had wanted for over a year now is to do an offset stripe. Now that I see it in the new Cobrajet, I might just go ahead and pull the trigger.

Need some high def photos!! I sure did like the Vossens on your ride though Abdulla

In time my friend! I liked the Vossens too but they were just too big and made the ride uncomfortable, not to mention the lack of traction. I just got the wheels put on a few hours ago, along with my BMR Billet LCA's that I finally took off my convertible. :naughty1:

I've always loved the look of a black roof on a light colored car! It gives it that panoramic/glass roof look.

Makes sense! I couldn't imagine those being a comfy ride also.

So Gunmetal CF-5's huh!! You going to alternate between the Racestars and those?

That's the plan as of now, of course that could change at any time haha.
I would be buying both sets of wheels for the price that I sold the Vossens, which is exactly what I wanted.

As I possted before it looks great, but I do have a few questions.
How long will the wrap last, I know stripes are only good for a few years
I'm assuming the prolong use will damge the paint
How to you condition it? Wax
