Does anybody have any 2007-2012 47lb GT500 injectors (p/n M-9593-G302) sitting around that they could measure for me? I bought 2013-14 55lb injectors for my DOB build and am trying to figure out if the two are the same length (will impact the spacer size for the fuel rails).

The 55 lb injectors match the standard EV14 dimensions here:

I'm just trying to make sure the 47lb injectors are the same length. If you can measure, the o-ring to o-ring dimension is what matters.

Thanks in advance!

different spray pattern between the 2 though.

GT500s are EV14 too.

I've heard that the 2007-12 injectors were slightly longer than EV14. I've since seen reports from 2007-12 GT500 owners who have swapped in the newer 55lb injectors and didn't mention a length difference, so I'm thinking that they are indeed the same. Either way, I could shorten the fuel rail spacers easily if needed.

different spray pattern between the 2 though.

Thanks for the info - I didn't know that. My tuner should be able to take that into account. My immediate concern is the spacers needed for my fuel rails if there was a difference in length.

The spray pattern has a 12* offset compared to the 47lbers.

Is that the main thing that the tuner will have to adjust for? He said he would account for injector type even in the startup tune to get me to the dyno.

I'm not sure, All I can say is that the 47lbers are a twin cone 0*offset
2013 Gt500 are twin cone 12* offset.
Better make sure you aren't dousing the intake walls down.

I have no idea what the difference between 2007-2012 gt500 intake runners are compared to 2013+?
Or if the routing has changed due to the manifold for the new supercharger?

GT500s are EV14 too.

I've been down this road. The 07-12 GT500 injectors are a little longer than the EV14's. I learned the hard way.....at the last minute......and had to machine some parts.

I'll bet with the slop you can run in the injector stack height (I think there is a 5-6mm window FWIR before you will unseat/unseal an O-ring) a guy could pull a 07-12 GT4500 injector and put a EV14 in and not know they are right on the edge. The length is not that much different. Different enough, but not a ton. 4mm FWIR.

I've used those injectors to replace FGT ones that came stock on whipple kits, various LSx blown cars that used the same size and even used them on stock 3V rails with the EV14->EV6 adapters, zero issues. Even FRPP states it so.

Well I definitely had an issue when I mocked up my current manifold using GT500 injectors then tried plugging EV14’s in when they showed up. Maybe I wasn’t mocking up with GT500 injectors. I don’t know where I would have picked up another random injector though. Weird. Next time I have both sets in hand I’ll measure them.

I've used the shorter GT500 injectors with a whipple that came with medium length GT supercar injectors. The length was the same just as you state.

The newer GT500 injectors are normal "long" Ford length.

Maybe there is a difference but it completely went under the radar on any of those installs.

From what I think I went through (now I'm questioning if I mocked up with GT500 injectors) they would be pretty interchangeable. I was trying to thread the needle on fuel rail clearance though, trying to fit them between the manifold and the blower elbow (the other side didn't matter) and still be able to get the AN fitting on the end. It is tight. The EV14's dropped the rails into the fasteners bolting the manifold to the heads and if I put spacers on them it would run the rails into the elbow. We're only talking about a couple 3-4mm here. If I wasn't trying to shoot bulls-eyes I would never have noticed.

I wish I had a set of both in front of me. It's driving me crazy now!

Wow, I feel like I accidentally opened a can of worms here. I can confirm (I just double-checked) that the new 2013-14 55 lb GT500 injectors match the dimensional drawing in my OP exactly (which supposedly is EV14 "medium"). If anybody has a 2007-2012 GT500 47 lb injector in front of them to measure, it would put all of our speculation to rest!

07-10. These are the ones that will work with a 3v whipple. They are 48mm oring to oring.

FORD RACING 47 LB/HR FUEL INJECTOR SET
M-9593-G302*
Suggested Retail Price
$319.00

Sold in Units of:
Eight Pack (8)

tech notes

  • 47 lb/hr, 6-hole, high-impedance fuel injector with USCAR electrical connector
  • Original equipment on 2007-2010 SVT Mustang

INJECTOR NOTES:
  • Medium length injectors are for use in GT500 or Ford GT. We also use the MU32 in our 3v supercharger kits.
  • The long injectors are the more common length and are applicable to all non-GT500 Mustangs since multi-port injection was introduced
  • Wrong electrical connector for your application? Try our M-14464-A8 Fuel Injector Adapter Kit
  • Need help determining which injector you require for your application? Refer to EFI Tech Tips
About electrical connectors:
  • The USCAR connector is sometimes referred to as EV6, which is a Bosch term for the generation of injector.
  • Jetronic is the older style connector, sometimes referred to by the Bosch generation EV1.
  • Neither EV1 or EV6 is technically correct because those generations of Bosch injectors could come with either connector. However most EV1's commonly seen use the Jetronic connector and most EV6's use the USCAR connector so it's easy to see the connection.

I was under the impression that these were used in the 11-12 GT500 but I'm not so sure now. I've used these before and they are pretty good injectors but are the standard 60mm oring to oring length. FRPP describes them as L size vs M size for the G302.
