The heated seats on my 13 Mustang don't work. Discovered the reason, while replacing the seat cover and found both the upper and lower elements with broken wires. Looking for a source or a "retrofit" where I can solder the wire to use the exiting connector. The factory replacement is no longer available. Hoping someone with some knowledge, could point me in the right direction for a source.

I did attempt to solder it all back together, but when tested, seems to have a short.

Thank you!

Homie.

If it's the wires that go into the connector that are just broken, use a crimp butt shrink connector that is 18 or stronger gauge.

Otherwise,

Thank you for your replies!

No, the wires are broken on the mat itself. I attempted to solder it all back together, but it's weak and I still have a short. So looking for a suitable replacement element. Something that I can solder the stock pigtail connector to.

My electrical knowledge is very limited, but does the group have any thoughts about simply using this kit and just swapping the connectors with the factory ones from the OEM element?
