So you don't see any hose hooked up to the plastic elbows here? Or don't even see the elbows?

The obvious answer would be get the missing parts and don't drive the car with a major component of the cooling system disconnected.

Yeah I don’t have any of that. You can see where you’re supposed to connect the hose on mine.

If it is a Heater Core it is anywhere between 1000 and 1500.00. Requires Dash removal

Good news is after this past weekend cold snap, there shouldn't be a need for a heater until December. You will likely see a loop of hose to bypass the heater core. I don't remember exactly where it connects but they come in from the passenger side at the front of the engine. As long as it is effectively bypassed and not leaking, it shouldn't affect how your engine runs at all. There is a chance it was bypassed because the hose/elbow connector failed and the previous owner didn't want to pay for new hoses. I almost bypassed mine when it failed the second time (all my fault for being cheap and I can tell the story to anyone that wants to read it). Coincidentally, it is how I was able to obtain my mustang for a great price. It did require engine removal and new heads. You may try putting some pressure on the heater core maybe with a garden hose and cheap heater hose to see if it leaks inside. If the core is fine, you can get new molded to form heater hoses with connectors for around $20 each from rock auto. Dorman also makes the plastic elbow connectors that you can attach regular heater hose to with a clamp. Not sure you really save any money because I think the elbows are around $16 at the parts store.

If the hose is missing, the vehicle probably has a bad heater core and that is the easiest way to stop coolant

That’s exactly what I see they looped it to the passenger side. They didn’t disclose any of this when I bought it. Quite the bummer cause it’s eventually has to get fixed.
