I have a 2008 Mustang GT that keeps getting water inside the socket of the rear passenger side marker & the bulb keeps burning out. The drivers side is OK. There's no rubber gasket (as my AI has suggested), so how do I solve this issue?

I have 2 fake chamois leathers folded up, one each side of the trunk, not ideal but it is stopping water flooding down on the wiring and lamps, annoying problem with S197 design.

Consider remove the light assembly and inspecting for cracks or open seems. Maybe a bead of black RTV silicone will take care of the issue?

This. If it's localized to one side only you should be able to find it. Been so long since I looked, the sockets seal to the light housing don't they? If so the water would have to be entering from the back of the socket where the wires enter.. cover that sucker up and see if the problem goes away

If I recall the sockets have a rubber or felt ring around them for sealing.
