I am finally taking the machined 17" wheels off my 06 GT and am installing 18's off of a 2011 GT. I don't have a hand held tuner. How do I get the speedometer calibrated to the new tire/wheel size?

(I've searched all over for this to no avail.)

Need a tuner to do it (sct, etc). You may not have to though if you're keeping the overall tire size the same (lower profile tire on the wheel). What is your tire now/what are you putting on?

I'm going to have to do the same. I was also wondering how much good a tune would do with out an intake.

You don't necessarily need a "tune". Just a tuner. Plug it in and change your tire settings. A 1 inch change is not going to have that radical of change to your speedo. NYSkinsfan is right, just measure your current tire and your new setup ( from center of wheel) and see if they are the same chances are they are.

First if you are going from stock 17s to stock 18s IIRC they are both 27" diameter tires and no adjustment is needed.

Second the answers are out there.....

What sucks about that device is it will only calibrate an auto one ratio up and one ratio down from stock gears... Looked at buying one when I was parting out my car so I could sell the Livewire.
