HELP: Vortech supercharger

Hey. I need help. I have a 2006 gt with a vortech ho supercharger kit and the supercharger just started making a loud whining noise. Just seeing if anyone knows what this could be? Before it was making this noise, it was almost silent. You couldn't even hear the supercharger. It sounds like a power steering pump with low fluid. If anyone could help me out, thanks.

Check the fluids in the supercharger... this stuff needs to be changed EVERY oil change from my understanding. This is part of a supercharger. Mine started getting louder, the more the supercharger broke in. It's just a part of it as well.

My V2SQ started to make a lot more noise after a few hundred miles. I called Vortech about it, and they told me it was not an issue unless the noise increased with RPMs.

i pulled the intake off the sc to feel if there was any play in the shaft, there was none at all. i did notice some oil in the intake before the sc. is that normal i figured its from the re-cerk valve??

I have oil on the intake side as well. It was blow-by. If the oil is on the discharge side, that's a problem and you probably need a rebuild.

The oil was in between the sc and the maf. Mostly by were the re circulation valve dumps air into. Also anyone know if vortech will cover this bc its less than three years old?

I have a V2 and there is not a LOUD whine. At idle, you can hear it a little, but it's not loud. I think you have something going on, and I recommend you make a video and contact Frank in the Vortech forum at modularfords.com. He gives good support, including in one thread where a guy had issues like yours (link).

Your oil situation sounds normal, however.
