If the arms and bushings checked out OK then I would just about bet money that Chris's explanation is what happened.

Technically there are two solutions. You could also go with a tire that has less overall diameter. His solution would be cheaper and easier though.

Wow man.. nice runs! Wish I could have seen it in action. Hopefully I'll make it to a race later this year when it's cooler if they'll be open.

Sucks what happened but that is very quick for a street car that you could drive to the strip if you wanted to.

What shocks and struts are you running?...

I noticed in the video, that the rear of your car lifts dramatically....and I would say it was the tire wrinkling that was the problem now, considering the launch didn't look too hard or stout...(no offense)

It looks like the body lifted and the rocker was brought upward into the tire...

Stock struts up front and QA1 single adjustable in rear. What do I do to cure this? It felt really hard to me. I have another video from a different angle too that I will get.

The launch may not have looked that hard but they were all 1.5 or better sixties that day weren't they?

Tires grow forward.

If tire pressure were off from side to side and one got more traction it would try to pull that side harder, but most likely the tire is just balled up to the front side when leaving

You were right! How do I fix this? Next time I might break the rocker panel.

IDK if it cam be fixed, the video I showed you was the last time that guy had that Termi to the track, he got it in the 9s and sold it shortly later.

Well shit guys! There has got to be something! xtreme roll bar maybe? It looks like it's hitting cause the body is twisting up and into the tire.

Pushing the axle back with the adjustable control arms might still solve the problem even if it is the body flexing and not the tire that is the problem. They're cheap and easy to put in. Why not give it a shot?

Yeah, but it may be difficult to keep the correct pinion angle if you do that. You would probably need a custom UCA to go along with the adjustable LCA's that's extra long and then the rear won't be centered in the wheel wells.

You'd need custom arms to push it back 1/4-1/2" from stock?

Chevykiller's car is a destroyer hasn't he run into this issue before?

Put an antiroll bar on it and it should help alot! Ive had low 8 second cars I drove on the street. The car is twisting too much the right side of the body is going down I bet and the driver side is coming up and hitting the tire. Put an antiroll bar on it and it will be nice and level and wont hit the tire. Just unbolt one of the links when you are driving around town so you dont bend the antiroll bar. Trust me, Ive gone pretty fast before ;)

Turbo 434 sbf. 8.17 @ 172mph on only 20 lbs of boost. Never even got to turn up the boost to see what she would have gone. I should have never parted it out and sold it :(

Yes i did, and I think it would help as well. The body wont come up like it is doing now on the driver side to hit the tire.
