Was at pro-dyno lastweek to get a break in tune and dan showed me this eaton that a customer brought in and asked my opinion sarcastically and rhetorically and stated customer had a shop called 52 south out of Lexington, NC do this hideous port job. I took pics just to steer anyone away from this garbage work. Asshole even hit the rotors with the bit. without further ado, the pics

I've never seen an Eaton blower from the bottom. Are those four ovals supposed to be there, or were they "added?"

Either way, it looks like Ray Charles did that porting! I'd be royally pissed if I were the owner.

I was wondering, why the fuck would you not stop once you saw you were in over your head ? I guess why half ass it, if you're gonna fuck it up then might as well go all the way

Forgot to mention, the inlet was so fucked up and out of shape, the elbow wouldn't even seal up, not that it mattered at this point

It's ignorance. Whoever did that, probably doesn't know any better. He probably got done, and in his slovenly drunken voice said "That somebitch is gonna flow hella good!"

Yes, those four ovals are suppose to be there. No, they are not suppose to be shaped like Amoebas.

Haven't seen that bad but seen a lot of that. Take it to a no name shop and they just hog the whole thing out thinking lets just go as big as possible.

With CNCs and stuff today I would be very wary about letting anyone hand port heads/intakes/blowers. Just bolt it down and let a machine do it.

I've done quite a bit of this by hand, I is easy for me as I understand the many variables and have a lot of experience so I wouldn't agree but,,, you'd better know who is cutting on your shit. actually I just unshrouded my intake valves on my build that I just completed

Mind boggling how shops like that can stay in business. Your work unshrouding the valves looks great though IMO! I'll be doing that to mine a a few weeks, hopefully.
